The airport is located 21 miles (35 kilometers) north of downtown Moscow. Remember to exchange currency at the airport as all transactions in the city are in rubles.

By Taxi:
Taxi is the easiest and most convenient way to reach downtown Moscow. You will find many on duty in front of the terminal, but make sure you order a taxi from the transport agency inside the airport. Direct the taxi to take you to the ICF/EKO office at 3, Tverskaya Zastava, Pl., which is in a building next to the Belorusskaya Metro Station (see "From Downtown Moscow" for additional directions). Taxi fare from the airport to the ICF/EKO office is about 600-1,000 rubles, depending on the time of day.

A metro card for a single ride costs approximately five rubles and can be purchased inside the station.

From Rechnoy vokzal Metro (Underground) Station:
The metro operates from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Pick up a map of the Moscow metro system at this station. Get on the last car of a Green Line train and take it six stops to the Belorusskaya station (see directions at right), about a 20-minute ride.
