ICF International
has created a Water Center with the Mexican Institute
of Water Technology (Instituto Mexicano de Tecnología
del Agua or IMTA), which enables us to offer more than
200 professionals who provide environmental and water
resource services worldwide.
The partnership combines
ICF International's extensive expertise in designing
and implementing environmental programs with IMTA's
expertise in developing and applying new technologies
to solve environmental and water resources problems.
The capabilities offered by the ICF International–IMTA
alliance that directly benefit our clients include: |

- Evaluation of specific processes and technologies for
the purification of industrial and municipal wastewater
- Economic and financial planning for water utilities
- Socioeconomic and financial evaluation of water projects
- Evaluation of the legislative and pubic policies related
to the efficiency use of water and its effects on economic
development and the environment
- Design and development of systems to reduce waste consumption
in organizations that are use high volumes of water (e.g.,
industrial facilities)
- Design and development of and consulting and training
on systems to reduce consumption in organizations that
use high volumes of water
- Testing of water-saving devices in order to support
their certification process, including fluxmeters, showers,
toilets, and air-relief valves for home outlets
- Development of metering systems for the monitoring and
control of water consumption
The ICF International-IMTA
alliance provides clients affordable state-of-the-art environmental
and engineering solutions to problems anywhere in the world. IMTA encompasses
13 specialized laboratories for certifying equipment and
materials, developing prototypes, and conducting water resources
research. IMTA operates two training centers in Mexico as
well as a water consultation center, focused on problem solving. Learn
