To Identify and Promote Energy-Efficient Products and Services
on Behalf of the U.S. EPA
FAIRFAX, VA, September 27, 2006 – ICF International announced today that it was awarded Technical
and Analytical Support of ENERGY STAR Program—Labeling
and Residential Branch, a five-year, US$14 million contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Air and Radiation. The program is committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
other pollutants by identifying and labeling energy-efficient products in the marketplace.

The program seeks to drive investment
in energy efficiency and enhance economic activity
for businesses that develop, manufacture, sell,
and promote energy-efficient products and services.
The ICF team will be tasked with a number of crucial
responsibilities, including providing the EPA with
specification development support to classify new
products and service classes as ENERGY STAR; market
research in order to understand and influence consumer
purchasing patterns; financial, economic, engineering,
and architectural research and analysis; and sales,
recruitment, and industry outreach.
