FAIRFAX, VA, October 18, 2001 - ICF Consulting is pleased
to announce that it was selected by the Washingtonian
magazine as one of "50
Great Places to Work." The 30-year-old consulting firm
is best known for its professionals' intense commitment to exceed
clients' needs. Only one other consulting firm made the list,
which consisted of some of the nation's leading firms based
in the Washington, D.C. area.
"I'm impressed with the Washingtonian's insights
concerning the working culture at ICF Consulting," said
Douglas Beck, Director of Corporate Development. "Our
hard-working staff is committed because they are motivated
by important, challenging, and interesting work. That's how
we attract the top analysts who work here." In the last
two years, nearly 40 percent of hires have been return employees.
This is not ICF Consulting's first award
from a Washington publication. The National Journal
named the firm as one of the organizations that "truly
make a difference" in national policy, noting, "With
a set of elaborate models and reputation for thorough, competent
work, ICF Consulting has made a name for itself among Washington
consulting firms and become a central influence in the formulation
of federal policy."
Washingtonian focused on the basic benefits this year,
in contrast to the previous year's consideration of frills
such as cruises and free leases on BMWs. The magazine chose
ICF Consulting because of its satisfied staff, interesting
work, good benefits, employee development, and community involvement.
Washingtonian specifically mentioned the firm's leading
experts in energy and environment.
