ICF Consulting Applies Innovative Technology to Develop Award-Winning Web Site for
United Nations Global Compact

FAIRFAX, VA, February 14, 2000 - ICF Consulting recently developed an award-winning Web site that incorporates a new technology that easily puts the power of content in the hands of knowledge experts. Recognized as a USA Today Hot Site, the United Nations (UN) Global Compact Web site was presented at the 2000 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in January.

Recognizing that content is everything on the Web, ICF Consulting applies Web-based workflow tools that ensure only high-quality, approved content is published. Now, content experts from UN agencies scattered around the globe can quickly update the site without Web development or HTML skills. The Global Compact is a working relationship among UN agencies, corporations, and advocacy groups to address the issues of environmental principals, job security, and human rights.

This new technology, part of ICF Consulting's WebAssist®, provides clients with a powerful development platform while reducing the cost of updating and maintaining content. WebAssist also includes a Discussion Factory® that allows client staff to easily create open-ended or mediated on-line dialogues with a variety of participants.

"The UN needed a comprehensive, robust, but ultimately cost-effective development platform," said Timothy Herbst, the ICF Consulting Project Manager. "Our approach offered them the optimum solution that is scaleable as their needs and requirements grow."

"The fact that USA Today chose the site as one of their weekly Hot Sites speaks for itself," said Georg Kell, First Officer, UN Executive Office of the Secretary-General. "The least we can do for you [ICF Consulting] at this stage is to highly recommend you, in case someone is looking for smart and fast solutions to complex problems as a truly reliable and competent consultant for Internet applications."

"We are very excited to work with the United Nations to provide a comprehensive e-business platform to support this critical project," said Michael McKelvey, President of ICF Consulting's Information Technology. For two decades, ICF Consulting has provided creative, high-quality, and cost-effective results in strategic information technology consulting and e-business solutions.
