ICF Consulting Receives $2.7 Million Award to
Support the Nation's Critical Infrastructure Protection Plan for Homeland Security

WASHINGTON, DC, March 25, 2004 - ICF Consulting has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to support creation of the Nation’s first Critical Infrastructure Protection Plan. Through this $2.7 million, 11-month engagement, ICF Consulting will support DHS’s Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection Directorate with one of the Department's highest priorities: supporting the implementation of Homeland Security Presidential Direction #7 on Critical Infrastructure Identification, Prioritization, and Protection.

"This program is vital to our nation's security and we are honored to support DHS on this national priority. Among the benefits we offer DHS is our domain knowledge of the critical infrastructures and key resources as well as robust subject matter expertise in risk management, emergency management, and homeland security," said Anita Kellogg, a Certified Emergency Manager and Senior Vice President with ICF Consulting.

Uniquely suited to this project, ICF Consulting offers DHS rich domain expertise in energy, transportation security, dam safety, nuclear power, public health, emergency services, and food safety, as well as a history of helping the government create private and public sector partnerships that support important national programs. ICF Consulting will work with stakeholders in federal, state, and local government, as well as the private sector, to help create the nation's first Critical Infrastructure Protection Plan.
