LOS ANGELES, CA, February 2, 2004 - The International
Communicator Awards competition recognized ICF Consulting
with four awards for industry excellence in audio and
video communication. The winning ICF Consulting products
include a video news release (VNR) produced as part
of a statewide renewable energy public awareness campaign
for the California Energy Commission and two radio commercials
as part of a multimedia marketing communication campaign
for the City of San José Environmental Services
Department.

The VNR, "Renewable Technologies," received an
Award of Distinction in both the State Government and the
VNR category. The two-minute and 47-second segment highlights
the benefits of renewable energy such as solar energy and
wind, and features interviews with solar homeowners and the
California
Energy Commission. The San José radio commercials,
"The Job Interview" and "Sort This San Jose,"
each won the Crystal Award of Excellence. The commercials
were produced for the city's "Clean
'n Green San Jose: Services With Curb Appeal" campaign.
"We are thrilled these important outreach materials
have been honored by the industry," said Susan Hughes,
senior vice president and head of ICF
Consulting's strategic communications group. "These
materials played a significant role in educating Californians
about renewable energy and informing San José residents
about important changes to the city's recycling program."
The 2003 Video and the 2003 Audio Communicator
Awards are separate competitions. Together they draw more
than 3,900 entries from the United States, Canada, and several
other countries.
