ANGELES, CA, June 2, 2003 - ICF Consulting was awarded two
awards by the Communicator
Awards 2003 Print Media, an international awards competition
that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field.
The awards recognize materials ICF Consulting created as part
of an 18-month multimedia marketing communications campaign
for the City
of San José Environmental Services Department.
"We are very pleased to receive such distinguished awards
for our work in educating San José residents about
the City's new curbside recycling program," said Susan

Practice. "These materials played an important role in
increasing the recycling rate in the third largest city in
California."
ICF Consulting received an Award of Distinction in the design/program
guide category for the "City
of San José Recycling Guide," a hand-illustrated,
multi-page booklet that informs residents about new recycling
services and features a removable poster for easy pin-up and
reference. ICF Consulting also received an Award of Distinction
in the writing/feature article category for an article titled
"Commingled
Recycling: The City of San José Enters the Mix."
Designed to position San José as a leader in recycling,
this article was placed in MSW Management magazine,
reaching more than 23,000 waste management industry professionals.
The annual competition draws more than 3,700 entries from
the United Sates and several foreign countries. Read about
