ICF Consulting to Provide Software Development Services
to Enhance eTools Functionality
FAIRFAX,
VA, May 25, 2005 – ICF Consulting announced today that
its Synergy division, acquired in
January 2005, was awarded
a US$9.4 million contract with the Defense Contract Management
Agency (DCMA) to provide software development services. Under
this four-year contract, ICF Consulting will continue to
support the migration of client-based legacy applications
to DCMA’s Web environment and provide new mission and
administrative functionality to the DCMA workforce. DCMA
is the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) agency responsible
for working with the defense industry to help ensure that
systems, supplies, and services are delivered on time at
projected costs and meet performance requirements. DCMA manages
more than 300,000 prime contracts collectively valued at
more than $850 billion.
The new contract encompasses DCMA’s Web-based applications
collectively known as eTools, an initiative which has been
supported by the Synergy team since its inception in 1999.
The Synergy team also developed several of the pre-eTools
legacy systems, including the Supplier Information Service
(SIS), the Preaward Survey System (PASS), and the Risk Assessment
and Management Program (RAMP).
"Synergy looks forward to a continuing professional
relationship with DCMA that supports the agency’s
important mission through the eTools program," says
Jim Lutz, an ICF Consulting Vice President who manages
the firm’s Logistics and Weapon System Analysis work.
