Robert Dickerman Joins Company to Head
Effort
FAIRFAX, VA, March 22, 1999 - The ICF
Kaiser Consulting Group, an operating unit of ICF Kaiser International,
Inc. (NYSE: ICF), today announced that the company has launched
an energy strategy initiative within its energy consulting
practice to provide top-level guidance in the burgeoning unregulated
electricity business. Robert Dickerman has joined the company
to lead the effort as Vice President of Energy Strategy. The
new initiative will focus on advising energy providers in
the areas of generation, retail, and commodity strategies.
"For many years, we have been helping clients implement
business strategies in the electric and gas industries with
both products and services," said Sudhakar Kesavan, President
of the ICF Kaiser Consulting Group. "With the creation
of our energy strategy practice under the leadership of Bob
Dickerman, we now will be able to help clients re-examine
their fundamental business strategies in a changing marketplace."
"The energy strategy practice will address the most
critical issues facing electricity companies today,"
said Dickerman. "Many important operating decisions flow
from the basic questions of structure and positioning. We
strive to uncover a structural solution that leverages clients'
key strengths and looks at the competitive market realistically.
This effort is directed at forming the basis for long-term
growth and positioning for competitive strength."
"The energy strategy practice will utilize our change
management practice and our industry analysts to help clients
make more effective decisions about which sectors of the energy
business to occupy," said Gary Vicinus, Head of ICF Kaiser's
Energy Consulting Practice. "We can add value to clients
in a number of other ways as well. Our regulatory group can
prepare a restructuring proposal to a client's PUC. Our energy
solutions practice creates the products and information systems
to help our clients operate more effectively. We also help
our clients build alliances to reduce the time needed to achieve
greater profitability. Few companies can credibly perform
this range of services."
Robert Dickerman comes to the ICF Kaiser Consulting Group
from Edison Source in Los Angeles, where he was the Senior
Vice President of Wholesale Energy. Prior to Edison, Dickerman
held senior posts in energy consulting, as well as energy
trading and marketing. Dickerman holds an MBA from the University
of Chicago.
