On-line Travel Management System Will Save Taxpayers
FAIRFAX, VA, May 3, 2004 - ICF Consulting has been awarded a 5-year contract for up to $18 million by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to support the Federal Government’s new eTravel Initiative. ICF Consulting will measure and manage the success of the eTravel program through performance evaluation, acquisition support, and market analyses.
One of President Bush’s E-Government Initiatives, eTravel will revolutionize travel management functions. Formerly paper-based, the new on-line system delivers an easy-to-use, integrated travel service tool to the desktops of government customers. The service will simplify federal travel management, and is projected to save taxpayers up to 50 percent in federal travel management costs over the next decade.
"ICF Consulting is very pleased to support GSA and the eTravel Program Management Office. We are in the unique position of being able to leverage our extensive IT, e-Government, and change management experience to support eTravel,” said Paul Anninos, Senior Vice President of ICF Consulting’s Enterprise IT Solutions practice. “It is exciting to apply that experience, in addition to our acquisition support capabilities, to sustain this transformational initiative.”
