FAIRFAX, VA, April 17, 2000 - In celebration of the
30th anniversary of Earth Day, ICF Consulting is co-sponsoring
an Environmental Research Workshop Series with The George
Washington University's Center for Environmental Policy and
Sustainability Management (CEPSM) and the World Resources
Institute (WRI). As part of GW's Earthweek 2000, the workshops
will focus on identifying key research issues related to sustainability
and developing collaborative efforts for addressing them in
the future. Unlike typical conference approaches, this series
of workshops will emphasize maximum interaction among participants
before, during, and after each workshop.
The workshop series will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, at
the Marvin Center on the GW campus, Rooms 402, 413, and 414.
The Marvin Center is located at 800 21st Street, NW. Workshop
sessions are scheduled as follows:
Morning Sessions (9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)
- Web-Based Environmental Decision-Making in the Public
and Private Sectors (Room 402)
- Drivers of Successful Sustainable Development Initiatives
(Room 413)
- Low-Impact Urban Infrastructure Development (Room 414)
A light lunch is provided for all invited and registered
attendees.
Afternoon Sessions (1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.)
- Guidelines for Successful Voluntary Initiatives (Room

- Multilevel Perspectives of Sustainability Indicators (Room

- Special Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management
