The alliance combines ICF Consulting's extensive expertise in designing and implementing environmental programs with IMTA's expertise in developing and applying new technologies to solve environmental and water resources problems. This milestone follows two years of negotiations that included changing the legal status of IMTA within the Mexican Government to permit a strategic alliance with a foreign commercial organization.

Mexican Institute of Water Technology (Instituto Mexicano de Tecnología del Agua)"The ICF Consulting-IMTA alliance provides clients affordable state-of-the-art environmental and engineering solutions to problems anywhere in the world. Through this alliance, we expect to create significant opportunities to protect and better use our resources," said Francisco Silva, ICF Consulting Senior Vice President.

"The ICF Consulting-IMTA alliance will undoubtedly synergize the strengths of both our organizations, for the benefit of our common clients, by combining know-how, experience, and scientific and technological expertise in the water resources and environmental fields. We are certain that the alliance will multiply opportunities for both IMTA and ICF Consulting and will be very much appreciated by those to whom, together, we will provide our services," said Alvaro Aldama, Managing Director of IMTA.
