27, 2006 - ICF Consulting
has been awarded a five-year, $10 million mission support
contract—Implementation of Programs for Stratospheric
Ozone Protection—with the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), Office of Air Programs Stratospheric Protection
Division. This contract continues prime contractor support
that ICF Consulting has provided to the division for
more than 15 years.

The Stratospheric Protection Division is responsible
for implementing programs to protect the ozone layer,
including requirements under the Montreal Protocol and
Title VI of the Clean Air Act. The division manages EPA's
review of substitutes for ozone-depleting substances,
and develops and implements voluntary programs that reduce
emissions of high global warming potential gases. It
also oversees and coordinates international technology
transfer and infrastructure building programs related
to ozone layer protection and climate change, and ensures
reliable development of EPA's Sun Safety efforts.
