FAIRFAX, VA, April 23, 2001 - ICF Consulting
has received a $14 million, five-year contract to provide
analytical laboratory support, data review, and quality
assurance/quality control support for the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency's (EPA) Region 9, which includes Arizona,
California, Hawaii, Nevada, the Pacific Islands, and Tribal
Nations subject to U.S. law. In performing the contract,
ICF Consulting will support several EPA programs, other
federal and state agencies, and tribal organizations.
Under this ESAT contract, ICF Consulting will work in association
with the Regional EPA Laboratory in Richmond, California,
and will focus on providing non-routine field and fixed-laboratory
analyses and quality assurance services that primarily support
EPA's hazardous waste site projects.
"The support provided by ICF Consulting will contribute
to EPA's ongoing efforts to protect human health and the
environment under a suite of environmental laws that deal
with hazardous substances and waste, surface and ground
water, and air quality," said David Bauer, vice president
at ICF Consulting. "In particular, ICF Consulting will be
helping EPA ensure that hazardous waste site cleanup efforts
are efficient and timely and meet established goals."
