FAIRFAX, VA, July 30, 1999 - ICF Consulting
has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA)
Environmental Advisory Services contract to provide
all branches of the U.S. government with a wide range
of environmental services. With a potential value of
up to $100 million, this contract, issued under the
Federal Supply Schedule program, will be for a period
of five years, with one five-year option.
ICF Consulting is now able to provide expert consulting
services to all branches of the Federal government worldwide
on:
- environmental compliance
- waste management
- pollution prevention
- emergency management
- environmental/occupational training
- hazardous materials management
- telephone advisory services
"We are very excited about being able to provide our
services under GSA's streamlined procurement process,"
said Howard Finkel, ICF Consulting's Environmental Advisory
Services program manager. "Our focus on providing strategic
advantage to Federal government clients through a full-range
of environmental advisory services is significantly enhanced
by this award. This allows us to get down to work more
quickly for existing clients like DOE and EPA, in addition
to making it much easier to tackle new assignments from
Federal clients worldwide."
Examples of activities anticipated under this contract,
include providing emergency management services, air quality
modeling, waste characterization and management studies,
environmental compliance assessments, environmental impact
statements and environmental assessments under the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), pollution prevention
opportunity assessments, ISO 14000 environmental management
systems, Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) health and safety training courses, and telephone
hotline support.
