ICF Consulting Opens San Francisco Office
to Better Serve West Coast Clients
|
FAIRFAX, VA, September 5, 2000 - Marking a new phase
in its growth, ICF Consulting today announced the opening of
its new West Coast
headquarters near the San Francisco waterfront.
Establishment of the new site, which replaces its office in
Marin County, California, was necessitated by the rapid expansion
of the company's business. Over the past two years, ICF Consulting
has grown its revenues from West Coast clients by 50 percent
per year. Moving to its own newly renovated headquarters building
in the recently blossomed Northern Waterfront section of San
Francisco will bring it closer to key clients and top talent
working in the city. The new office also will accommodate and
accelerate the company's growth.
"We are pleased to be establishing our presence in San Francisco,"
said John Wasson, senior vice president and managing director
of the San Francisco office. "We believe this presence will
allow us to expand our business even more quickly and ensure
that we provide top-flight services to our clients who are part
of the dynamic new economy in the San Francisco Bay Area and
the West Coast generally."
"In the last couple of years, we have seen a significant growth
in the need for energy efficiency, strategy, retail, and wholesale
services in the energy sector, for policy and training services
in the housing area, and for regional economic strategy services
in the community development area," said John Wasson. "In 2001,
we expect continued growth in our air quality management services
and additional new growth in the areas of information technology
and transportation planning services."
ICF Consulting's West Coast clients include PG&E, Southern
California Edison, Sempra, Chevron, Honda America, the California
Energy Commission, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District,
and the cities of San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Los Angeles,
and Seattle.
