FAIRFAX, VA, March 1, 2000 - ICF Consulting
has won a prestigious 1999 Bronze Telly Award in the Video
and Film production category for its "Natural Gas STAR Program
for Production Companies" video. This U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) training video is a testament to ICF Consulting's
ability to create high-quality, strategic communications on
technical subjects.
"We are honored to be recognized since this is ICF Consulting's
first large-scale video production," said Laura MacLean, the
video's producer. "We are still trying to meet the overwhelming
demand for copies."
The goal of the Natural Gas STAR Video for Production Companies
is to help managers at production companies introduce employees
to EPA's Natural Gas STAR Program and the benefits of participation.
The video also serves to motivate viewers to implement methane
emissions-reducing practices by offering technically credible
information.
Since 1980, the Telly Awards have become one of the most sought-after
awards in the television, commercial and video industry. A
major reason for the growth of the Telly competition is that
entries do not compete against each other, but are judged
against a high standard of excellence. In 1999, more than
11,000 entries were received; 7 to 10 percent receive silver
and 14 to 18 percent receive bronze. In winning this award,
ICF Consulting joins the ranks of previous high-profile winners,
including Walt Disney Studios, Dreamworks SKG, and Discovery
Channel.
This Telly Award is one of many recognitions awarded to ICF
Consulting's communications group. During the past six months,
ICF Consulting has received five International Association
of Business Communicators (IABC) Best in Virginia Awards,
four IABC Silver Inkwell Awards, and a Society of Technical
Communicators Award of Excellence. These awards have been
for outstanding Web sites, interactive CD-ROMs, brochures,
and annual reports. Read
