MARKETING
& PUBLIC RELATION PROGRAMS IN BIRMINGHAM,
AL |

ICF International developed and implemented a public
education campaign on transportation and air
quality issues for the Greater Birmingham Regional
Planning Commission. ICF International used humor
to create a common ground between diverse audiences
by developing COACH KLEENAIR™, who
challenged residents and businesses in Birmingham,
Alabama, to change their commuting behaviors. The
TV and radio ads ran for nearly five months and
COACH KLEENAIR™ received wide praise throughout
the metro area. COACH
KLEENAIR™ is a registered mark to ICF Associates,
Inc., an operating unit of ICF International.

U.S. EPA ENERGY
STAR® BUILDINGS
PROGRAM |
|
For
the past five years, ICF International has provided
strategic communications support for the EPA's national
ENERGY STAR®
Buildings Program, targeted to the commercial and
industrial business community. This support has
included award-winning
public service advertising, co-promotions with
Fortune 500 companies, media outreach, video production,
Web site development, and event planning. Public
service advertisements developed for the program
have been placed in Fortune, Forbes,
Business Week, National Geographic,
and several other publications. Co-promotions with
program partners such as Goodyear and Food Lion
have yielded several hundred million impressions
of program messages throughout the country. |

PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION |
|
For
the past three years, ICF International has provided
strategic communications support for multiple bureaus
within PADEP, including land recycling, residential
recycling, air quality, and waste management. This
support has included event planning, media outreach,
creative materials development, Web site development,
and a range of other services. The International
Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognized
ICF International for exemplary work on several
PADEP materials, including an annual report, outreach
brochure, and a special publication for the Governor's

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTIAL
LIGHTING & APPLIANCE PROGRAM |
|
ICF International developed a detailed strategic outreach
plan for CRLAPa program jointly funded by
four major utilities in Californiawhich served
as the basis for a year-long advertising and public
relations campaign. The plan included in-depth target
segmentation research and a literature review, as
well as results of focus groups conducted by ICF International in key California markets. ICF International
then partnered with a Los Angeles-based advertising
agency to implement the plan. By year's end, campaign
messages had reached more than 90 percent of the
targeted adult audience. |

U.S. EPA LEAD AWARENESS PROGRAM |
|
For
the past three years, ICF International has supported
the U.S. EPA's Lead Awareness Program by developing
public service advertising and outreach materials
and by conducting campaign research and evaluation.
ICF International created the program's "Runs Better
Unleaded" advertising campaign that was used throughout
the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland, transit
systems; as cinema advertising in Baltimore; and
in doctors' offices and clinics around the country.
This successful campaign has garnered multiple
industry awards, including the CIPRA, the MOBIUS,
the Mercury award, and awards from the IABC and
the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
