ICF International manages the customer service and sales training program for EPA's ENERGY STAR® Homes Program initiative—a voluntary pollution prevention program that promotes the construction of energy-efficient homes to homebuilders, home buyers, energy efficiency organizations, utilities, and home building materials suppliers. ICF International's activities include technical support and account management for assisting builders on how to best move through the process of designing, testing, and building ENERGY STAR® homes; training builder sales agents on selling the financial benefits of energy efficiency; and communication methods for both consumers and business marketing activities and overall program management.

For EPA's Atmospheric Pollution Prevention Division, ICF International delivered over 80 Lighting Upgrade Workshops nationwide to train a varied audience to implement comprehensive lighting upgrades. In addition, ICF International designed and facilitated over 25 Implementation Roundtables and Partner User Groups to provide heightened technical support and problem-solving assistance to companies installing energy-efficient lighting. ICF International delivered six Quick-Start Workshops to provide companies with a road map for implementation of upgrades.

Energy Investment Seminars for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

ICF International managed the development and implementation of a three-hour, executive-level seminar to educate financial decision-makers on the cost-effectiveness and other benefits of building energy upgrades. The objective of these seminars was to persuade executives that energy upgrades are profitable and should be implemented. In addition, these seminars were designed to educate the attendees on the benefits of the ENERGY STAR® Buildings Program and how their organization can join the program. ICF International's responsibilities included the development of the seminar objectives and script, slide production, scheduling, publicity, presenting the seminars, and evaluating the seminars. During this project, ICF International conducted ten seminars in major cities across the United States.
