Modern Management Skills Program for the Kaiser-Hill, Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site

ICF International customized and delivered its Modern Management Skills program to mid- and upper-level managers in the finance and administration group at Kaiser-Hill (K-H), Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS). The Chief Financial Officer, his direct reports (Deputy CFO, Treasurer, Contracts Manager, CIO, Controller, and others), and the group's mid-level managers (about 25 total) attended the sessions. Sessions were four hours in length and were delivered on an average of once every six weeks. Session topics included: systems thinking, information literacy, learning and innovative thinking skills, communicating in the networked organization, focusing on the customer in a service organization, managing knowledge-based projects, knowledge management, and others.

Information Management Review for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)

ICF International has been engaged to review and evaluate the information management practices and procedures for the NMFS. In light of best industry practice and NMFS stakeholders' expectations, ICF International is developing recommendations for improvements, including linking NMFS information technology resources with programmatic strategic planning; managing information technology assets as a "corporate" resources; and developing performance measurements and returns on investment that are specific to the mission, goals, objectives, and business processes of NMFS.

Best Practices Project for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

ICF International is developing and helping implement a national initiative for the institutionalization of best practices within the housing and community development industries that support HUD's strategic objectives. HUD had already begun the process of identifying best practices, but realized that in order to provide value of significance, those practices need to be collected, codified, and distributed in a manner that permits them to be applied to best use. These applications must cut across industry, organizational, and functional boundaries. We are developing the structure to support the initiative, including identification of the processes, procedures, resources, and organization necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness.
