Eric Cardwell has more than 18 years of experience in the information technology industry, with the past 13 focused on information security and compliance. He has managed six North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) mock audits and three NERC CIP cyber vulnerability assessments.
Previously for IBM, he performed as a security architect for smart metering security in support of large Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) implementations at two regional utilities. He managed the end-to-end vulnerability testing on each system and component of the smart metering solutions. His certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2 and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
