Samuel Engel is a recognized expert on international airline economics and strategic planning, with special experience in airline revenue development, including distribution and pricing. His analyses on behalf of airlines, investors, and governments have supported multimillion-dollar investments and litigation results as well as corporate decisions to pursue new business lines, routes, and aircraft purchases.
He was the lead consultant on the successful Hawaiian Airlines bankruptcy restructuring in 2005 and gave expert testimony in the competition case between Hawaiian and Mesa Airlines in 2008 that resulted in a $90-million legal judgment. He holds an M.B.A. from Yale University and a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania.
