Subodh Karnik has more than 30 years of experience as an aviation and travel executive and consultant. He specializes in improving cash flows, operations, and morale through top-line growth, rigorous planning, and fundamental restructuring. Mr. Karnik's expertise includes leading and assisting airlines in ownership restructuring, including privatization, investor search, and acquisitions; fleet and network planning; global alliances and joint ventures; labor negotiations; and operational efficiency improvements.
Previously, Mr. Karnik has held senior corporate, marketing, finance, and operating roles, including president-CEO of Global Aero Logistics, the parent of World Airways, North American Airlines, and ATA. He has also served as COO, CFO, and chief commercial officer at public, private-equity owned, and public-sector airlines and travel companies, including Northwest, Delta, Continental, Air Jamaica, Fiji Airways, and Fareportal. His work has spanned all continents, passenger and cargo, and scheduled and commercial/military charter airlines.
Mr. Karnik has an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS-Pilani, India.
