Kiran Kumaraswamy has expertise in transmission asset valuation, locational marginal price (LMP) forecasting, merchant transmission investment assessment, and power systems modeling. He specializes in load forecasting methodologies, generation interconnection assessments, estimation of transmission congestion, and benefits of regional transmission organizations (RTOs) in deregulated energy markets.
He uses GE-MAPS©, PowerWorld©, and PSLF© for modeling applications and analysis. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
