Kathleen Rooney has more than five years’ experience in livability and smart growth, transportation demand management (TDM), and transportation planning policies and programs. She manages the creation of a strategic framework for TDM for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).
She was one of the authors of Federal Highway Administration/Federal Transit Administration’s (FHWA/FTA) Livability in Transportation Guidebook. She is working with FHWA to identify the next steps to help support livability nationwide.
