Senior Technical Specialist
Elizabeth Strange has more than 15 years of experience conducting environmental assessments; providing technical support for regulatory and policy development; evaluating ecosystem services in support of economic studies; and preparing technical documents, research reports, and publications on climate change and ecological resources. She is an expert in climate change vulnerability analysis and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Dr. Strange has supported adaptation planning for several estuary programs in the United States as part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Climate Ready Estuaries program. She also served as the lead technical expert on two climate change vulnerability assessments for estuaries in California and Massachusetts. In addition, she supports the Asian Development Bank in assessing climate change vulnerability and risk for a number of countries in Asia.
Dr. Strange has a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, and a B.A. in Biology from San Francisco State University.
