Work-Life
In 2008, ICF received its second CARE (Companies as Responsive Employers) Award from Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS). NVFS honors companies that provide work environments catering to the needs of working families. ICF is one of only 14 companies in the region to receive the honor in recognition of our family friendly policies.
In 2007, ICF International received the Helios HR Apollo Award™ for excellence in employee growth and professional development. The firm won in the Large Company category, competing with other companies whose employees number more than 1,000. Sponsored by Helios HR and the Washington, D.C., area chapters of the Society for Human Resources Management, the awards recognize organizations that promote a continuous learning environment as part of their organizational culture.
Washingtonian magazine selected ICF International among the "Great Places to Work" in the Washington, D.C., area in 2005 and 2001.

for Contractor of the Year (2008) in the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in the mid-sized firm category. The award recognizes companies that have made outstanding contributions during the past year to their employees, the government contracting industry, and the U.S. government.
ICF Chairman and CEO Sudhakar Kesavan received the Executive of the Year award in the 2009 Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in the large-sized firm category. Washington SmartCEO also honored Mr. Kesavan as one of 2007's Future 50, the magazine’s honor to chief executives of the Washington metropolitan area's fastest growing companies. Corporate Communications
ICF International regularly receives a variety of awards for

The Hermes Creative Awards, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, recognized our 2007 corporate holiday card with a Gold Award for design. ICF

The annual report was named a

With 19 offices in seven states, Jones & Stokes also strengthens ICF's presence in the western U.S. Jones & Stokes was a 2007 EBJ Gold Medal award recipient among medium-size firms for increasing its annual sales from $70.3 million in 2006 to $85 million in 2007, a 20.9% jump attributable entirely to internal growth.

2008 Net Impact Green Challenge
ICF International was recognized for using an innovative green team structure to create a comprehensive sustainability program in the Washington, D.C., and San Francisco offices. In a six-month term, the ICF Green Team reduced lighting output by 59 kWh through lighting controls and more efficient bulbs, implemented water conservation measures saving 450 gallons of water, and composted 240 pounds of waste. Employees also hosted green education events for their fellow staff members and launched company-wide environmental campaigns, including a green audit of company procurement policies and efforts to develop green leases for company buildings and green benefits as part of employee compensation packages.
