Awards and Recognition

ICF International is recognized consistently for the quality and impact of our services. The prestigious awards we have received are a testament to our commitment to excellence and the high quality work of our distinguished staff.

In 2007, ICF International received the Helios HR Apollo Award™ for excellence in employee growth and professional development. The firm won in the Large Company category, competing with other companies whose employees number more than 1,000. Sponsored by Helios HR and the Washington, D.C., area chapters of the Society for Human Resources Management, the awards recognize organizations that promote a continuous learning environment as part of their organizational culture.

Also in 2007, ICF received a CARE (Companies as Responsive Employers) Award from Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS). NVFS honors companies that provide work environments catering to the needs of working families. ICF is one of only 12 companies in the region to receive the honor in recognition of our family friendly policies.

Washingtonian magazine selected ICF International among the "Great Places to Work" in the Washington, D.C., area in 2005 and 2001.

In addition, ICF International received an Honorable Mention from Consulting Magazine in its November/December 2004 article, "Best Firms to Work For, 2004." Based on a survey of U.S.-based consultants, the magazine placed the company in the top 10 among 38 firms in four major categories:

The article states, "ICF International employees say that they have a think-tank approach to consulting. They say that their work has a broader impact on the public and environment due to the type of energy and environmental advice they provide. Benefits include massages, nursing rooms for returning mothers, and flexible work arrangements."

In its 2006 survey, Consulting Magazine ranked ICF in the top 10 among 32 firms for work hours, travel, and "How Valuable is Your Mentor?"

In 2007, ICF International was ranked 34th among Washington Business Journal's 50 Fastest Growing Companies and 43rd in CRN magazine's FastGrowth100. Washington SmartCEO honored ICF Chairman and CEO Sudhakar Kesavan as one of 2007's Future 50, the magazine’s honor to chief executives of the Washington metropolitan area's fastest growing companies.

In addition, ICF was selected as a finalist for Contractor of the Year (2007) in the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in the mid-sized firm category. The award recognizes companies that have made outstanding contributions during the past year to their employees, the government contracting industry, and the U.S. government. The company was ranked among the "75 Largest Consulting Firms in the World" by Consultants News (2004).

In 2002, an Award of Appreciation was presented to ICF International by the U.S. Department of Labor in recognition of continued commitment to equal employment opportunity in the workplace.

ICF International regularly receives a variety of awards for the excellence of its consulting work. These are listed by category below. In addition, our corporate information materials are highly recognized for their clarity and quality within the communications and public relations fields.

The Hermes Creative Awards, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, recognized our 2007 corporate holiday card with a Gold Award for design. ICF International's corporate brochure, annual reports, Perspectives quarterly report, and corporate Web site have been recognized for excellence in marketing and communications. The annual report was named a finalist for Best Annual Report in the American Business Awards in 2006.

In 2007, the Communicator Awards recognized our campaign and brochure, "Shaping the Future of Emergency Management and Homeland Security," with an Honorable Mention in the Business to Business brochure category and in the Campaign category for the brochure, panels, and other promotional materials.

In 2006, the Communicator Awards recognized the annual report with three Awards of Distinction and an Honorable Mention. The 2005 Communicator Awards competition recognized the annual report and corporate brochure for industry excellence in Print Media communication, awarding both with Awards of Distinction, as well as a Crystal Award of Excellence in the Business to Business Brochure category and an Honorable Mention for Brochure Photography. The 2004 Communicator Awards competition recognized ICF International's corporate Web site with four awards, including the Crystal Award of Excellence for Overall Web Site, an Award of Distinction for Writing/Web Copy, and an Honorable Mention for the Web Site Home Page. The Talent Development Program intranet site, accessible to staff, received a 2004 Communicator Print Media Award of Distinction in the Web Site/Intranet category.

The MarCom Creative Awards, part of the Communicator Awards, one of the largest, oldest, and most respected competitions in the communications field, recognized our annual report in 2005 with Gold Awards in three categories for design and corporate presentation. In 2004 our entries received two Platinum Awards (trophy above), three Gold Finalist Awards, and an Honorable Mention.

In 2005, the corporate brochure was named a finalist for Best Marketing or Sales Brochure or Kit in the American Business Awards. The brochure also received a 2004 Thoth Award, the highest honor, from the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The competition recognizes the premier public relations programs or components produced in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, and encourages continued excellence in the field. The brochure also received a Galaxy Award for excellence in product and service marketing and the Web site received an iNOVA Award honoring the best corporate Web sites in 2004 from MerComm.

Also in 2004, the annual report received an Honorable Mention and the corporate Web site received an Award of Merit in the 2004 Best in Virginia Awards from the Richmond, Virginia, chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

In addition, ICF International was selected as a finalist for Best Web Site in the 2004 Midas Awards, which recognizes financial services communications on a global basis. In addition, the Web site was recognized with a Standard of Excellence award from the Web Marketing Association (2004) for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development and was named a finalist for Best Corporate Web Site in the American Business Awards (2003).
