GU24 lightbulbs (lamps) and sockets are used in many new ENERGY STAR® qualified decorative residential light fixtures as the new standard in permanent high-efficiency bases. Using GU24 ensures that decorative light fixtures will always be high-efficiency and never regressed to a low-efficiency lightbulb. This article talks about the use of the GU24 design becoming increasingly popular as manufacturers of bulbs and fixtures start to make the transition to this new design.
