A severe heat wave baked Texas and other central-southern states in June. New data on extreme heat fueled by climate change shows that these states will be hit the hardest by 2050. Under a worst-case-scenario, metropolitan cities including San Antonio could experience upwards of 65 additional days annually with temperatures surpassing 95 degrees.
