ICF SH&E's David Stewart was a featured presenter at Aviation Week's MRO Middle East 2013 conference, held January 22–23, 2013, in Dubai, UAE. The presentation focused on the forecast for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry and highlighted trends in aircraft, operations, and spend—with a focus on the Middle East region. 

On June 30, 2011, SH&E became ICF SH&E, better aligning the strengths of one of the world's largest aviation consulting firms with the market expertise and expanded service offerings of ICF International.

    David Stewart has more than 25 years of experience in aviation. He has led assignments with leading aerospace manufacturers, service suppliers, and airlines in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, developing significant experience in the airline, aircraft equipment, and maintenance sectors. Mr. Stewart is a recognized expert in low-cost airline operations and business models and the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) market. The majority of his project experience has focused on strategy development, market analysis, and transaction (due diligence) support. Previously a partner in Mercer Management Consulting’s Aviation Practice and a principal with The Canaan Group, Mr. Stewart began his career with British Aerospace Commercial Aircraft Marketing in 1982. He is vice chairman of the ADS (former SBAC) MRO and Logistics Network and a guest lecturer at the Cranfield School of Air Transport Management.

    Mr. Stewart has an M.A. in Engineering Science from Oxford University and an M.B.A from the Cranfield School of Management.
