Workforce Assessment: The Army Diversity Office (ADO) contracted with ICF International to complete a comprehensive workforce assessment of diversity issues and conduct an analysis of the Department of the Army's (DA) diversity statistics, policies, processes, and practices. ICF reviewed and analyzed the DA's diversity statistics; documents and data related to existing workforce diversity issues, including existing DA employee satisfaction surveys and diversity climate surveys given by Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), and Office of Personnel Management (OPM); conducted structured interviews with DA personnel; and conducted focus groups to identify and quantify concerns.
Senior Executive Diversity Awareness Training (SEDAT): The DA contracted ICF to assess and redesign SEDAT for General Officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) to be more diversity centric and less EO/EEO focused, while adhering to DoD course guidance. The redesigned curriculum reinforced the importance of diversity to combat readiness and capabilities to the combatant commander in support of the Army's national security and defense strategies.
