ICF is a key partner on the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC), which was established by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences in 2002 to provide educators, policymakers, researchers, and the public with a central and trusted source of scientific evidence of what works in education.
For the last eight years, the WWC has reviewed the best that current research has to offer, and has become a decision-making tool, helping the education community locate and recognize credible and reliable evidence to make informed decisions. ICF has supported this ground-breaking effort in several ways, including:
- Contributing WWC-certified staff to review, rate, and summarize research findings in intervention
- Reports, practice guides, and quick reviews
- Operating the WWC Help Desk
- Developing the WWC registries on randomized controlled trials and outcome evaluators
