Detroit Edison and Michigan Consolidated Gas Energy Efficiency Programs

ICF is assisting the Detroit Edison Company and Michigan Consolidated Gas Company to implement and manage the Residential Efficiency Products Program, a sizable, multi-program efficiency initiative.

Since the program began in August 2009, 2.7 million customers have participated, resulting in 25,177 HVAC measures installed, 3.5 million CFL incentives processed, and 158,504 MWhs saved. ICF's services include:

  • Trade ally recruitment and training
  • Deploying post installation inspections for quality assurance verification
  • Call center and in-house incentive application processing for the HVAC and Appliance products programs
  • Developing program standards, policies, and procedures
  • Conducting market research and analysis
  • Cecruiting contractors to participate and educating them on program requirements
  • Developing marketing outreach materials
  • Developing a tracking database tracking and content for the program's website
  • Ensuring that work completed under the program meets program standards (quality assurance)
  • Tracking and evaluating program energy savings
  • Coordinating with other utility and state funded programs
