Assessment of Climate Sensitive Water Programs

Categorized Under: Environment

ICF has been working with EPA Office of Research and Development Global Change Research Program since 2002 focusing on water and aquatic resources.

ICF helped inventory and analyze climate-sensitive Office of Water decisions and to develop a research design on which a future, national-scale decision assessment could be modeled. ICF also conducted a review of policies and programs to develop a systematic, priority-setting approach for identifying risks that climate change may pose to National Water Program goals and helped set priorities for integrating climate risk assessment and management with Office of Water programs and policies, identify gaps in existing institutional authority and programs, and prioritize actions based on the likelihood of programs experiencing moderate to major impacts of climate change in the next thirty years.
