In 2007, ICF conducted analyses in support of developing the Cosumnes, American, Bear, and Yuba Integrated Regional Water Management Plan.
The project involved application of the Water Evaluation and Planning (WEAP) model, which had been previously enhanced for the analysis of climate change impacts on water resource and aquatic ecosystems. The project goal was to determine whether existing water management infrastructure and operations will be able to meet the needs of water users and aquatic ecosystems in the face of future changes in temperature and shifts in the pattern of precipitation.
