ICF is assisting the City of Portland with recovery of salmon species listed as threatened under the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) by conducting technical analyses and fish-habitat modeling that will evaluate conservation and restoration actions in the Johnson Creek watershed.
ICF will review past and future actions using Ecosystem Diagnosis and Treatment (EDT) to assess the expected change in salmon habitat that will occur based on the activities. ICF will also analyze future growth in the watershed and the potential effects of climate change. The outcome of this work is intended to help the City of Portland prioritize future actions in the watershed and compare those actions to the ultimate habitat changes needed to recover salmon and steelhead in Johnson Creek.
