LMCC selected ICF to administer a $5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to train more than 2,200 unemployed and underemployed electricians in advanced lighting controls.

ICF works to expand the curriculum, purchases and distribute lab board materials and lighting components, conducts quality assurance, and monitors the program. The California Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program  provides significant opportunities, including advancing utility incentive programs that will capture an enormous untapped source of energy efficiency and demand reduction, integrating energy efficiency and demand response programs as mandated by the California Public Utilities Commission, increasing the installation of advanced lighting controls in commercial buildings, and providing industry and trade organizations with a high-value training opportunity for members.
