Advancing the Next Generation (NexGen) of Risk Assessment

Categorized Under: Environment, Health

ICF and our subcontractors are preparing manuscripts analyzing NexGen risk assessment issues. With new advances in molecular biology, volumes of new test data emerging from the Tox21 program, and in light of recent risk assessment reports published by the National Research Council, EPA is embarking on an exploration of the new science and methods that are ripe for incorporation into future risk assessments. From 2010 to 2011, ICF rapidly responded to changing project needs and capitalized on our staff and consultant resources, as well as new business relationships, to deliver biostatistical, bioinformatics, dose-response assessment, and decision science expertise needed to tackle NexGen’s challenges.

ICF also developed outreach strategies and materials and facilitated and documented team meetings, an expert workshop, and a public conference. Review ICF’s summaries and video recordings of the NexGen public conference held in February 2010.
