Building Nigeria's Response to Climate Change

Categorized Under: Climate, International Development

Working with local counterparts, ICF International enhanced Nigeria's resilience, reducing poverty and promoting resources management using stakeholder engagement, community pilots, and a mainstream adaptation strategy. The project helped to build informed responses to climate change by enhancing adaptation capacity at the community, state, and national levels with strong linkages to poverty reduction and natural resources management.

Key project components included a research program on climate change impacts and adaptation, a series of adaptation pilot projects in communities country-wide, development and mainstreaming of a national and state level climate change adaptation strategy, and communications and outreach initiatives.
