ICF was contracted by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) to develop a guide to implementing effective strategies for attracting and retaining a capable transportation workforce for public sector agencies.
Transportation agencies are facing difficult and evolving challenges in attracting and retaining capable employees. To execute this project, ICF conducted a best practices review followed by a case study analysis of identified best practices to inform specific recommendations for changes in recruitment and retention strategies that may apply across transportation agencies.
