ICF has supported the FHWA and FTA on a wide range of efforts focused on advancing planning for operations in metropolitan areas.
ICF led development of a guidebook on integrating management and operations strategies into the metropolitan transportation planning process using an objectives-driven, performance-based approach. ICF also facilitated a series of workshops for planners and operators at state departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, and transit agencies, and developed updates to federal training courses to communicate these concepts.
