Wyoming Collector and Transmission System Conceptual Design - Final Report

Categorized Under: Energy

ICF International conducted the Wyoming Collector and Transmission System Conceptual Design study under contract with the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority (www.wyia.org). The accompanying report represents a first step in the design of a reliable system to collect up to 12 Gigawatts of wind generation for connection to six extra-high voltage transmission lines proposed in Wyoming. The report examines two conceptual wind resource development scenarios and multiple conceptual radial and networked designs as part of a first look at whether such a system can be reliably developed in Wyoming.
