    Cathy Halliwell is a business management and systems implementation expert with ICF Ironworks and has more than 18 years of professional consulting experience. Ms. Halliwell has extensive experience working with healthcare payers and providers, managing projects of up to $45 million annually, and participating in strategy sessions as a product subject matter expert (SME). She specializes in consumer-directed plans, incentives, telemedicine, and innovation.

    Ms. Halliwell has a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.

  • Paul Puopolo

    Paul Puopolo

    Vice President, Business Innovation and DevelopmentHighmark

    Paul Puopolo has valuable experience in executive management, innovation process, mobile health, leveraging emerging technologies, and extensive healthcare and military experience. At Highmark, he is accountable for developing the company's innovation portfolio and its strategic implementation to improve access, quality, and more cost-efficient care to Highmark’s members and the community it serves. He leads a professional team whose efforts include the identification, assessment, and collaborative development of new products, services, and business models to create new growth and competitive advantage for the company.

    Prior to joining Highmark, Mr. Puopolo led the Innovation Center’s health entertainment initiative and mobile health interests as director of consumer innovation for Humana.

    Mr. Puopolo has a bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Science from Villanova University and a master’s degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

  • Steve Hendrick

    Steve Hendrick

    Chief Information and Operations OfficerOrthoCarolina

    Steve Hendrick has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and information systems. At OrthoCarolina, one the nation’s largest providers of musculoskeletal healthcare, he is responsible for the strategic planning and operations of its 26 clinics and associated information systems and clinical technology deployment, training, and support services. In the last three years, Mr. Hendrick has worked with physician leadership and other executive team members to facilitate a 70 percent increase in the size of the group through both organic growth as well as merging in five new existing groups. Prior to joining OrthoCarolina, he was the senior vice president of MED3000 for nine years.

    Mr. Hendrick has a degree in Computer Engineering from Forsyth Technical College, and he holds industry memberships in the American Academy of Orthopedic Executives (AAOE), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and the Healthcare Data Warehouse Association (HDWA).
