- How to develop a strategy for states to integrate multiple broadband initiatives
- What states need to know now to get started
You will also learn what first responders—emergency medical service (EMS) personnel, fire fighters, and law enforcement officers—require of a 21st-century public safety communications network. Over the next 12 to 18 months, public safety and state officials will address significant issues to assess their needs and develop a FirstNet plan that will affect their states and local communities for several decades.
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced the availability of $121.5 million in grants through SLIGP. The grants will aid U.S. states and territories in deploying a wireless public safety broadband network operated by FirstNet.
