Veterans Breakfast Invited Speakers Series

Over the last two years, ICF International has provided a platform for discussion of many topics related to the American Veteran. As part of the Veterans Breakfast Invited Speakers Series, we have had many invited speakers that have offered their expertise. Past speakers have included:

• Peter H. Dougherty—Director, Homeless Veterans Programs, Veterans Health Administration, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
• Gordon J. Burke, Jr.—Director of Operations, Grants, and Transition Programs; Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS); U.S. Department of Labor
• Mark Johnston—Deputy Assistant Secretary for Special Needs, Office of Community Planning and Development, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

This collection of experts have discussed issues related to the reintegration of service personnel into the mainstream population. Issues such as homelessness, substance abuse, and issues specific to women veterans have been addressed. For 2011, we are putting together a Conceptual Framework to Address Veterans issues. Your input is greatly appreciated as we address topics such as Reintegration, Medical Simulation and Training, National Guard issues, and the Warrior-Veteran Continuum.
