ICF International provides health-related services that support the improvement of health, safety, and welfare of the public. Key priorities of national governments include environmental and toxicological hazards that adversely affect air, water, and food; the quality of health care related to the increase in the average human lifespan and rates of incurable disease; the funding, gathering, and dissemination of health-related research used to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease; and the results of unforeseen disasters and emergencies that threaten physical and mental health. ICF develops effective regulatory and nonregulatory strategies based on our knowledge and hands-on experience in health science research, survey and data collection, and health informatics.

ICF offers clients a unique combination of public health subject matter experts and IT professionals who create innovative information management solutions to meet the nation’s emerging health requirements. We are experienced in a wide range of public health research, health promotion, and disease prevention issues, including environmental health, emergency preparedness and response, bioterrorism, HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, obesity, food safety, patient advocacy, pharmaceutical access, mental health, substance abuse, and health care policy.

In addition, ICF excels in translating complex health topics into campaigns that resonate with target audiences and priority populations from children to health care organizations. ICF helps clients of all types develop effective outreach programs to educate parents and children on how to stay safe where they live, learn, and play.

ICF works with clients to develop the largest and most complex grants management systems in the U.S. Federal Government. We use clearinghouses, Web sites, on-line databases, and research tools to disseminate research to the public. We also manage prevention programs to positively impact the avoidance of disease and implement surveys to determine the effectiveness of public communications.

ICF’s health informatics expertise spans a decade of work with the Operational Divisions of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Our deep domain expertise in health and science lead the development of information technology solutions that collect, store, and disseminate the results of research and experimentation, enable predictive modeling and scientific computing, and conduct analysis on clinical and claims data to support decisionmaking, produce better health care outcomes, and investigate ways to reduce health care costs.
