ICF International Awarded a US$31 Million Contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
ICF Caliber Wins All Major Contract Recompetitions
Fairfax, Virginia, October 12, 2006 -
Caliber, an ICF International company, was awarded Children’s Bureau Clearinghouse Services, a five-year, US$31 million contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration on Children, Youth, and Families (ACYF), Children’s Bureau. This is the third time that ICF Caliber has been awarded this contract. For the past 16 years ICF Caliber has been supporting the Children’s Bureau as it seeks to improve safety, permanency, and well being for our nation’s children. This is the third ICF Caliber award, two of which were previously announced, resulting from recompetition of four existing key contracts in the past month (two contracts were combined into one award), bringing the cumulative total to US$96 million.
"We look forward to working with HHS to deliver the information critically necessary to help professionals, parents, and communities understand and meet our children's needs, preventing them from harm," says Mary Sullivan, a senior vice president at ICF Caliber and project director. "ICF Caliber’s specialized knowledge and proven track record in partnering with the Children’s Bureau will give HHS the resources to support States and Tribes in improving their child welfare service systems."
ICF Caliber will be tasked with further development and expansion of clearinghouse services, including management, technical, logistical, and administrative services in the areas of child abuse and neglect, child welfare, and adoption. The team will operate Child Welfare Information Gateway using comprehensive knowledge management, information, and acquisition systems that will serve as the backbone for the Web site, library, and product development. Additionally, the team will collect and provide access to a wide scope of materials on practice, theory, research, and policy. The Children’s Bureau seeks to enhance the lives of children and their families, and provide information and other assistance to professionals and parents alike.
