Security Automated Features and Enhancements Project Expands Social Security Administration Use of Identity Credentials

Fairfax, Virginia, August 23, 2010 -

ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology/cybersecurity solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a new contract by the Social Security Administration (SSA) Office of Protective Security Services, to provide application development, training, and implementation support services for an array of initiatives designed to enhance SSA's physical security posture across the nation. The contract has a value of $10.5 million and a term of one base year and four option years.

Under terms of the contract, ICF International will enhance SSA's existing Security Automated Features and Enhancements (SAFE) application platform, which provides for comprehensive, paperless management of SSA's many physical security business processes. SAFE enhancements will include the development of Physical Access Control System (PACS) Central core functionality. PACS Central will consist of a set of software libraries and components that will act as a central hub, connecting SSA's existing Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12) Card Management System, Public Key Infrastructure, and PACS systems. SAFE enhancement will be deployed at SSA headquarters in Woodlawn, Md., and at as many as 10 regional offices nationwide.

"The award of this contract continues our history of working with the Social Security Administration in its successful efforts to comply with HSPD-12," said R. Kerry Sundstrom, senior vice president for ICF International. "The SAFE project will put SSA at the forefront of realizing the ultimate objectives of the directive, which is enhanced security of the U.S. Federal Government's facilities based on the use of standardized, secure identity credentials."
