ICF International Awarded Four Contracts Totaling More Than $60 Million to Support Head Start

ICF Wins One New Contract and Three Re-Compete Contracts

Fairfax, Virginia, September 28, 2010 -

ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded one new contract and three re-compete contracts to provide state-based training and technical assistance services to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start. The contracts have a total combined value of more than $60 million and a term of one base year and four option years.

The three re-compete contracts support states in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Northwest regions and effectively replace ICF-held contracts in those regions that recently expired and were rebid by HHS as new leadership redesigned its technical support structure. The one new contract represents an additional win for ICF by expanding its work to support states in the Southeast region. ICF's total revenue from these contracts before and after the rebid remains essentially unchanged.

Under the contracts, ICF will continue to provide training and technical consulting assistance, conference facilitation and collaboration, and program management services. The goals include enhancing the quality of services that children and families receive in order to improve outcomes for children as they prepare to enter school.

"ICF is both pleased and proud to continue the important work of helping children and families across the nation," said Jeanne Townend, senior vice president for ICF International. "ICF has provided Head Start support to ACF for many years, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to help sustain such a worthwhile program."

ICF continues to hold an additional contract to provide training and technical assistance to Head Start American Indian and Alaska Native grantees. HHS did not rebid this contract.
